This national one-day celebration held the last Saturday in April celebrates independent bookstores across the country online and in-store. Through exclusive books and literary items, contests, and everything in between, it’s an event you don’t want to miss!

Start your morning in our courtyard with some hot coffee from Pete's and delicious treats from Noe Valley Bakery before finding the perfect read for your weekend.

Win extra raffle tickets by completing our Bookstore Bingo! Bring the young ones with you so they can do their own Young Readers' Bookshop Bingo.

Everyone is encouraged to try their hand at Bookstore Mad Libs. (The very best Bookshop Mad Libs will earn a special spotlight on our website and in our front window!!) If you complete all the activities, there are exclusive Independent Bookstore Day Prizes!!!

Come back in the afternoon for a savory snack supplied by our very own Mozzarella Di Bufala Pizzeria. Get it while it's hot at 12:30pm and at 3:30pm.

More of a sweet tooth? Enjoy a free scoop from Shaw's Ice Cream Cart. It's first come, first scoop while it lasts! Beginning at 1pm.

Our very own Station 39 will be visiting for storytime! Come meet our local firefighters at 1pm. Yes, they'll be bringing their truck.
